Wisconsin - Modern Twist on Midwest Bungalow

I was contacted by Bay Area neighbor who is a Wauwatosa, WI native. Her dream was to design and build a compact, energy efficient home for summer vacations and eventual retirement near her family. After removing the former dilapidated house (and a few found bones found during the basement dig!) construction began on this small lot near Milwaukee. Salvaged bricks were used for the siding, and triple pane windows enhanced the thermal protection from the cold winters. The chosen contractors were Green specialists and encouraged new innovations for wall and roof construction.
